Since 1923, the Chicago Golden Gloves boxing tournament has been one of the great traditions of sport in one of the greatest cities in America. Over the past 80 years, just a few of the boxers who have won the prestigious “Chicago Golden Gloves Champion” title include Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Sonny Liston and numerous US Olympians.
The Chicago Golden Gloves tradition continues today as participants from the greater Chicagoland area compete at the annual tournament. The tournament features amateur boxers in the Novice, Sr. Novice, Open, Master and Female divisions.
